Arboriculture & Urban Forestry

Educators' Symposium & Summit

May 19-22, 2019

The Morton Arboretum, Lisle, Illinois

The International Society of Arboriculture in collaboration with The Morton Arboretum is organizing a meeting of educators from across the arboriculture and urban forestry fields to occur May 19-22, 2019 at The Morton Arboretum in Lisle, IL.

The Symposium will offer an opportunity for professional educators in the field to gather and:
  1. Share and discover best practices, methods, tips, and techniques for teaching, learning, and mentoring;
  2. Discuss trends, opportunities, challenges, and solutions as related to educational institutions, programs, and practices; and,
  3. Develop a plan for collaborating, communicating and coordinating for the future of higher and continuing education in our fields.

All are welcome to join as participants or contributors! We expect attendance from individuals at academic institutions, but also from people at the many other types of settings we know contribute toward teaching urban forestry and arboriculture to all types of people - community and technical colleges, undergraduate and graduate research and teaching universities, as well as public education and technical outreach education programs, nonprofit and community forestry programs, and more.

Please consider attending or submitting an abstract to contribute to the program at the links below.

Registration via The Morton Arboretum is now open! (Deadline to register is May 13th, 2019.)

Questions? Contact program chair, Jess Vogt: jessica.m.vogt@gmail.com.

Hope to see you there!
